Robert (Bob) Murrell was born and raised in Winter Haven, Fla. He went to college at Auburn University. After graduating, Bob spent a year working as a probation officer. It was during that time that he decided to go to Law School. At first, he was interested in becoming a criminal attorney, but his concentration quickly turned to general civil litigation involving condominiums, cooperatives, Homeowner Associations and other Community Associations. Bob graduated from Stetson University Law School and began his law career in Winter Haven.
Bob has practiced in Southwest Florida since 1992, and has concentrated his practice in the area of Condominiums, Cooperatives, Homeowner Associations and other Community Associations. He and his wife have three children and eight grandchildren.
Bob says his biggest challenge in Condominium Law is dealing with full boards with varying opinions. The most interesting part of Community Association Law for Bob is the people. He says, “It’s interesting and different. Even if it’s the same issue, it’s never the same case.”
In his free time, you can find Bob involved in activities at his church, outside enjoying the beautiful Southwest Florida sunshine or officiating soccer games. During the High School soccer season, Bob referees games about three nights each week. “I love being with student athletes and I enjoy being out there on the field.”
Bob is very involved with his church and is always willing to help a good cause. In the past he has supported St. Jude, Make-A-Wish, Harry Chapin and Special Olympics.
